2020 TMBA Season Cancelled
The health and safety of our players, volunteers, game officials, fans, and community will always be the number one priority of the Tavistock Minor Ball Association (TMBA). With that in mind, the TMBA Executive have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 fastball season. Although this decision will be disappointing to our Tavistock fastball families, we felt it was important to provide guidance to our members given the current Covid-19 situation.
After reviewing proposed return to play protocols by our governing associations as well as the restrictions placed on team sports by our provincial emergency order and public health officials, TMBA does not feel that a return to the diamonds this season is safe for our members or for our community.
All families who have already registered and paid by credit card will receive a full refund by July 1st. Any cheques submitted for registration payment will be destroyed.
As provincial and public health guidelines permit, TMBA still hopes to provide fastball opportunities for our members in the form of clinics at some point later in the summer; please keep visiting the TMBA website at https://tavistockathletics.ca/ for updates.
On behalf of the TMBA Executive,
Jeff Roth, President
