U17 GIRLS ARE PROVINCIAL B CHAMPS
The weekend of August 4th saw the U17 Tavistock Athletics girls win the PWSA Provincial B Championship. After 5 games of round robin & playoffs, the girls earned their right to play in the gold medal game. Facing undefeated Stittsville the score was 2-1 Tavistock going into the top of the 5th inning. The Tavi girls pushed their offensive play & moved to a 9-2 lead in their next two at bats. Stittsville rallied but not take the lead which saw the As win gold with 9-6 final score.

The ladies have had a pretty successful year taking home bronze at the Waterloo Ghosts tourney in May, gold at the Barrie Bash in June, finished in 2nd place in Grand Valley regular season play league play, took home bronze at the year end tourney, finishing the 2023 season with a 39-12 record.
